This is a small acrylic painting (24 x 24 cm framed size) The inspiration came from an afternoon walk on the beach just before dark in January. It was blowing a North Westerly gale which was whipping up the sea. The wind chill was around -6. Snow followed shortly after this. A hot chocolate in the studio on my return thawed me out enough to paint this while it was fresh in my memory.
